Professional Career
McClain was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the 5th Round of the 2023 NFLHC Draft, 160th overall.
Arizona Cardinals
2023 Season
The Cardinals came into 2023 with a sizable need at defensive tackle, with 2022 draft selection Maxwell Quezada having torn his ACL during his rookie season, and other starter Nathan Knowlton contemplating retirement after a rough adjustment to life in Arizona after being traded to the Cardinals from the Chargers. The Cardinals addressed their need by signing journeyman Wilburn Ball in free agency, but unsatisfied, they selected Parson in the 2023 Draft.
Parson would begin his rookie season presumably competing with 2023 FA-signee Ball and Cardinals 2022 FA-signee Enoch Coleman for the 3rd spot on the DC chart, after Knowlton and Quezada.
During training camp, Parson won the top defensive tackle job.
