Professional Career

Goodwin was initially drafted by the New England Patriots. But, was immediately traded to the Indianapolis Colts. Colts officials stated they attempted to trade up to Pick #38 but ran out of time, so the Patriots Front Office drafted Goodwin and then traded his rights to the Colts.
