Professional Career
Draft
Kevin Williams was not a highly rated prospect after his slide down the depth chart at Boston College. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers took Williams in the 7th round.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Williams spent 3 seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was never higher than #4 WR on the depth chart. In his rookie season, he caught a 93 yard TD pass from Taylor Heiden which is currently the third longest TD pass in NFLHC history. Three weeks in to the 2019 season, an error was discovered in Williams contract which allowed him to become a free agent midseason.
Tennessee Titans
The Tennessee Titans signed Williams to a 2 year, $1.0 million deal when he hit free agency after the Buccaneers error. The Titans needed another WR after Cap Christian was sent to IR. Williams did not see much action until week 8 when Tommy Furrey, the Titans #1 WR, suffered an ACL injury. Williams came in as a slot WR and finished the game with 9 receptions for 165 yards and 3 TD's, earning him AFC offensive player of the week. Williams spent the final 9 games of the season as the Titans #2 WR and amassed 59 receptions, 916 yards, and 10 TD's. Williams became the Titans #1 WR in 2020 and shined despite struggles from the QBs Alexander Williams and Bobby Kolodziej. Williams accounted for 37% of the Titans passing yards, 2nd most in the league behind Raheem Robinson. Williams barely missed being a Pro Bowl player but was awarded the Walter Payton Man of the Year award for his work with the Williams' Warriors charity. The Titans brought in veteran QB Thomas Wheeler in free agency which revitalized the Titans passing attack. Williams made his first Pro Bowl in 2021 and narrowly missed it in 2022. Williams' numbers took a drop in 2023 after Thomas Wheeler was injured for the season but he continued to produce.
