The Louisville Cardinals, coached by Broletariat, are a collegiate football team playing in the ACC. The Cardinals play in Papa John's Cardinal Stadium in Louisville, Kentucky. They are a member of the Atlantic Division of the ACC.

History

Rawk era (2013-2014)

The Cardinals were claimed by Rawk leading up to the inaugural 2013 CFBHC Season and he led them to a 9-4 finish, capping the season with a win in the first ever Music City Bowl over the Texas A&M Aggies, in a thrilling 56-55 finish and a #20 final Coaches Poll ranking. However, Rawk would go silent during the 2014 CFBHC Season and the team would flounder to an abysmal 1-11 record in his absence.

Uncoached era (2015)

This absence would lead to an early low point in program history as the Cardinals finished 3-9 without a coach in 2015.

Broletariat era (2016-Present)

Newcomer Broletariat took control of the program following 1-11 and 3-9 seasons with very little roster depth and poor recent recruiting classes. 2016 was a transition year as the few stars on the roster like Daniel Watkins and Quintavious Pearson weren't able to yet carry the team to a bowl game, finishing 5-7. In 2017, however, an offense lead by Pearson and running back Troy White was able to drag the Cardinals to a 7-6 finish in a bowl victory over the Tulane Golden Hurricanes in the Miami Beach Bowl. Meanwhile, Coach Broletariat continued recruiting and building the roster back up for the future.

With the graduation of White, Pearson, OLB Brett Wilson, and CB Jaylen Harris the Cardinals found themselves in the center of a rebuild in 2018. With Broletariat's early classes being not quite ready for the grueling ACC schedule, they would finish a disappointing 5-7. Since, the Cardinals have been trending back upward with Bowl appearances in 2020 and 2021.
