Luke Williams is a football quarterback for the Pittsburgh Panthers football team.

High school career

Williams was a star QB for Framingham, approaching the Massachusetts state record for passing yards in a season but ultimately falling short. He was considered a top 100 prospect in his class, and immediately accepted a scholarship offer from Pitt once it was offered.

College career

2014 Season

Williams was redshirted his freshman season due to the presence of star QB James Dale though reportedly coach Jumbo told him that he was guaranteed the starting position once Dale either left for the draft or graduated.

2015 Season

Williams served as the backup to Dale, though he did not come in for any games. There were reports that Williams was considering a transfer.

2016 Season

Williams accepted his role as the backup for one final year after being guaranteed a starting position following Dale's graduation after 2016. He saw his first career in action in week one when Dale went out with an injury; he threw his first career touchdown pass in this game to Robert Lewis.
