Michael Barber is an American football cornerback for the Washington Redskins of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for Florida State. Barber was drafted by the Redskins with the last pick in the first round of the 2017 NFLHC Draft. He's been the defensive captain for the Redskins since the inception of the team.

College Career

Barber attended Florida State for 4 years and declared for the NFL Draft in his Senior Season.

Professional Career

Following the trade with the Falcons that sent players including Javier Fields and the Falcon's 1st round draft pick, the Redskins selected Barber with the attained #32 pick. His performance under Weis at FSU and his combine results (seen below) impressed General Manager brightfalls enough to select him, believing he was the best defensive player available at the time.
