Norman Spencer (born August 26th, 1999) is an American football wide receiver for the Arizona Cardinals. He played college football at Maryland. He was drafted in the 6th Round of the 2020 NFLHC Draft by the Los Angeles Rams.

2015 Season

Spencer spent much of his true freshman season as the fifth WR on the BC depth chart, crowded by a star studded group including Mosi Bartos, Allama Banta, Tom Branch, and Kevin Williams.\

2016 Season

With Bartos, Banta, and Branch out of the picture, Spencer found himself taking WR2 duties behind Kevin Williams. He also replaced Williams, who had held the role a season prior, as the primary kick returner.

2017 Season

With young and promising WRs climbing the ranks, Boston College decided to redshirt Spencer.

Maryland

After Spencer felt he was slotted too low on the Boston College depth chart to see any real immediate playing time, he transferred to Maryland.

2018

Spencer flourished following the move to Maryland, earning 2nd-Team All-Big Ten honors as a WR.

2019

Spencer was named 1st-Team All-Big Ten at the KR/PR position.

Spencer was also selected via closed voting as the recipient of the Jet Award, given to the nation's top return specialist, as well as being named 1st-Team All-America.

Dunn went undrafted in the 2022 NFLHC Draft.

Los Angeles Rams

2020 Season

Spencer opened up his rookie campaign with an electric 70 yard punt return for a touchdown in week one against Ram rival San Francisco, earning NFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors. Spencer held both the kick and punt return roles, and often was the 6th WR listed on the depth chart.

2021 Season

Spencer handled return duties for the Rams, and commonly played WR4.

2022 Season

Spencer was again the primary kick and punt returner for the Rams, and was commonly the 5th or 6th WR down the depth chart.

Arizona Cardinals

The Rams waived Spencer following the 2023 NFLHC Draft, and he was claimed by the Arizona Cardinals.

2023 Season

Spencer was brought in by the Cardinals to compete with 2023 sophomores Jay Dunn and Jay Arreola, as well as 2023 UDFA Nick Dodson, at kick return, punt return, and lower end wide receiver positions.
