History
constapatedape era (2013-2018)
As the first head coach of the Fighting Irish, constapatedape led the Irish to their only National Championship in 2016. He is the winningest coach in school history with a career 54-25 record, including a 6-1 bowl record. The 2016 season was a season for the ages ending with a 34-31 win over the Washington Huskies to capture the National Title. After a 4-8 record in 2018, he and the school mutually decided to part ways. The Florida Gators were one of the first schools claimed in the lead-up to the 2013 CFBHC season. hattrickjoel454 led the Gators to a 24-15 record in three years at the helm with an Orange Bowl loss (to Miami (FL)) and a Weis Markets bowl win (vs Boston College). hattrickjoel left the team on mutual consent after the 2015 season to pursue other goals.
zzenker era (2019)
In 2019 zzenker was brought in from Wake Forest. He was described as an X's and O's guy which was enough for the administration to overlook his deficiencies in recruiting. But after an uninspiring season where the Irish were average on the field and below average off the field, the school decided that it wasn't a good fit and fired zzenker before the final game ending a tumultuous relationship.
joedchi era (2020-Present)
The 2020 season will begin the current era under the 3rd Head Coach. joedchi was in the midst of turning around a defunct South Carolina program and displayed the qualities Notre Dame was looking for. Previously, joedchi had served a season as Defensive Coordinator under head coach time at Southern Methodist University.
After a rough opening loss at Stanford, Notre Dame switched schemes and stunned #2 USC in South Bend. Following that stunner, the Irish kept it up and upset #23 Kansas at Soldier Field in Chicago.
