Rodrigo Rogers is a football runningback for the Pittsburgh Panthers football team.

High school career

Rogers was a standout runningback at Bishop Miege. He played at a rival school to Pitt's current starting center Douglas Frazier.

Recruitment

Rogers was ranked as the #56 overall prospect by BLUEchip rankings, and the third overall runningback. Rogers received offers from Pitt, Baylor, Notre Dame, and Clemson, but ultimately accepted Pitt's offer.

College career

2015 Season

Rogers was not redshirted in his freshman year, but started the season #2 on the depth chart behind Robert Lewis. Rogers did not get much playing time until the coaches grew frustrated with a Lewis fumble. Rogers started the next three games, but was ineffective, and was benched for Lewis. Rogers played some slot receiver to end the year, but ultimately did not have a great year for Pitt.

2016 Season

Rogers was redshirted for 2016 in order to give Lewis his senior year to start.
