2014 Season

Freeman had a solid year at Pitt's #1 corner, tallying 3 interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown. His interception of Virginia Tech QB Blake Shell was the only interception Shell threw in his entire college career.

2015 Season

Freeman was against installed as Pitt's #1 corner. He had a slight decline stats-wise, but NFL scouts noted his improvement in man coverage. Freeman was expected to be a candidate to be selected in the 2016 NFLHC Draft.

2016 Season

Freeman played nickel corner in his rookie year and played well, though he did not record any stats.

2017 Season

The Jets re-signed him to a 2 year, $1.1 million deal prior to the season. He recorded his first career interception off of Darrell Murphy and returned it for a touchdown.

2018 Season

Freeman played nickel as the Jets made it to Super Bowl V.

2019 Season

Freeman recorded his second ever interception playing nickel, and also returned it for a touchdown.
