Draft
Muhammad was selected with the 28th overall pick in the 2nd round of the 2016 NFLHC Draft by the Baltimore Ravens. He was the fifth cornerback selected after DeAndre Hawkins, Matt Cowan, Antonio Burch, and Justin Davis.
Baltimore Ravens
Muhammad quickly became the top cornerback for the Ravens before the start of his rookie season. Continuing to show his playmaking ability, Muhammad had 3 interceptions with 2 TDs in his first season and was named to the Pro Bowl. He continued to lead the Ravens' secondary for the next two seasons but did not return to the Pro Bowl. In 2019, the Ravens selected CB Troy Marshall 3rd overall out of Texas. Marshall was promoted to the #1 CB role above Muhammad. The Ravens continued to build a strong defense and Marshall and Muhammad would make one of the top cornerback duos in the league for the next three seasons. Muhammad became a consistent and reliable defender. During week 4 of the 2022 season, Muhammad tore his ACL and was put on injured reserve. After the season, his contract was not renewed and he was allowed to become a free agent.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Bills and the Buccaneers made an offer to Muhammad during free agency. Muhammad signed a 2 year, $18 million contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In his final season, Muhammad returned to being the top cornerback on the roster but the Bucs were ranked dead last in the league in pass defense. Muhammad decided to retire after the season.
