Professional Career
Pre-draft
During the 2016 NFLHC Combine, Henson was one of a mere five centers invited. He also earned a private work out invitation with three teams, the Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Cincinnati Bengals.

Draft
Henson was selected in the 2nd round of the 2016 NFLHC draft. He was the 4th center selected, and 40th player overall. He signed a 4 year contract with Dallas, in accordance with rookie contract rules.
Dallas Cowboys
Henson started every game from 2016-2019 as he snapped to Kamau Davis and Taylor Rodriquez. In each of his first three seasons after his first year, he was named to the pro bowl. During that time, his team enjoyed relative success, going 8-4, 10-6, 10-6, and 5-11, including a Super Bowl in 2019. Halfway through the 2019 season, despite his team struggling, Henson agreed to a three year contract extension worth $27 million over three years, 50% guaranteed.
