Spec Davidson (born January 12, 1992) is an American football tight end for the Carolina Panthers.

College career

Davidson was a standout tight end for the University of Georgia football team during the 2013 season. He started all 14 games during his senior campaign and ended the year with 61 catches, 617 yards, and 6 touchdowns. He won the 2013 John Mackey Award for the nation's top tight end, as well as being named First Team All-SEC.

Pre-draft

Davidson was considered one of the best tight end prospects in the 2014 NFLHC Draft. While he is a serviceable blocker along the offensive line, scouts raved about his hands and ability to get open down the field.
