Steve Noonan, also known as Boomin' Steve Noonan, (born August 19, 1992) is an American football punter for the Arizona Cardinals.

College career

Noonan was a 2-year starter for the LSU Tigers from 2013-2014.. He was a finalist for the Ray Guy Award in 2013 and 2014, winning both times.

2013 Season

Noonan was the most dominant punter in the nation, winning the 2013 Ray Guy Award and being named 1st-Team All-American.

2014 Season

Noonan kept up his dominant play, again winning the Ray Guy Award and named All-American.

Noonan's college career came to an end with his naming to the 2014 South Team for the Senior Bowl.

Maslowski was considered the top punter available, having won the Ray Guy award in his senior season. He also put up the most reps on the bench and ran the fastest 40 time of all punters at the combine.

Draft

Noonan was selected with the 171st overall selection of the 2015 NFLHC Draft by the Baltimore Ravens. He was the first of two punters selected, with Michigan punter Joe Wood going one pick later to the Houston Texans.

2015 Season

Noonan was named to the Pro Bowl and was named All Pro.

2016 Season

Noonan was named to the Pro Bowl.

2017 Season

Noonan was named to the Pro Bowl.

Noonan opted not to re-sign with the Ravens at the end of the year, and would test the open free agent market.

Arizona Cardinals

2018 Season

Noonan hit free agency with multiple teams bidding for his services. The Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers, and Arizona Cardinals all bid on his services, and he elected to sign a 1 year, $15 million deal with the Cardinals.

2019 Season

2020 Season

Noonan was named to the Pro Bowl and All Pro teams.

2021 Season

Noonan was named to the Pro Bowl and 1st Team All Pro teams, a lone bright spot on a season marred by the midseason of transitioning front offices.

2022 Season

Noonan was given most of the preseason off, with the Cardinals signing free agent punter Carson Washington as a camp/preseason leg. Washington was cut prior to the regular season.

With Noonan's age, and contract status in question, the Cardinals elected to roster two punters for much of the year, signing rookie Zack Kauffman off of the Denver Broncos practice squad.

Noonan continued to excel, again getting named to the Pro Bowl and 1st Team All Pro teams.

2023 Season

Noonan signed a 3-year, $6.75M contract with 75.56% GTD, to kick off the 2023 season.
