2013 Texas A&M Aggies Season

The Aggies enter the 2018 season looking to return to a bowl. The Swift/Jankowski connection is as strong of a duo as you’ll find in the CFBHC game, but the question Aggie fans are asking is, "Is there enough talent around these two to make Texas A&M a top 25 team"?

Week 1 - (22)Texas A&M @ Oregon - (Sr) Matty Swift lead an efficient A&M offense to a rout of a highly talented Oregon team. Swift connected on 27/38 passes for 441 yards and 4 TDs, and Denzel Negrete, is his first action, caught 3 balls for 159 yards and 2 TDs. The defense smothered the Oregon offense holding them to 200 yards of total offense and 16 total points, while holding one of the nation's best receivers in Artemio Ramirez to only 5 catches and 47 yards. In his Aggie debut Samuel Prince picked off the Oregon quarterback and took it in for a score.

Week 2 - Fresno State @ (15)Texas A&M - (Sr) WR Adrian Jankowski led a balanced day for the Aggie offense by hauling in 13 receptions for 189 yards and 2 TDs. Elias Butler had a career day on the ground rushing 20 times for 106 yards and a score. The Aggie defense started off the game right, as Adam Goss intercepted Fresno QB Ryan Harris on the first possession. The Aggies quickly drove down the field and Butler rumbled into the endzone to give them a 7-0 lead. After a few back and forth possessions the Aggie defense stuck again as Julian Woods the first of hopefully many interceptions in his career and returned it for a TD to give the Aggies a 14-0 lead. Fresno State started off the 2nd quarter witha Ryan Harris to Sebastian Gilliland connection for a TD to bring the score within 7 at 14-7, but (Sr) Matty Swift quickly struck back with a 38 yard pass to Jankowski for a TD to extend the lead 21-7. Ryan Harris connected with Hiller-Weeden right before the end of the half to bring the Bulldogs back to within 7 at 14-21. The teams traded TDs in the 3rd as Swift connected with Xavier Busch for his first career TD and Harris connected with Samuels to make the score 28-21 Aggies at the end of the 3rd. Jankowski came up clutch in the 4th hauling in a 23 yard TD from Swift to extend the Aggie lead to 35-21, and the defense held Fresno without a score in the 4th to pull out a victory. Swift finished the game 24/39 for 418 yards and 3TDs and Gary Sullivan anchored the D with a sack of the Fresno QB.

Week 3 - UCF @ (13)Texas A&M - (Sr) CB Adam Goss lead a dominating performance by the Aggie defense that held the UCF offense to 7 points including a shut-out in the 2nd half. UCF struck first in the 2nd quarter with 10 yard scamper by RB DeNorris Jackson, which ended up being the only scoring drive of the half giving UCF a 7-0 lead at the break. The 3rd quarter saw more defensive struggle and neither team was able to break into the scoring column which allowed UCF to take a 7-0 lead into the 4th quarter. (Sr) Matty Swift lead a quick Aggie scoring drive to start the 4th quarter connecting on a 6 yard TD pass with TE Ibrahim Jordan to knot the game up at 7-7. As time was winding down in the 4th quarter, Adam Goss picked off UCF quarterback James Mitchell, setting up the Aggie offense with 3:20 to go and a chance to win the game. The Aggies drove down the field and Matty Swift connected with (Sr) Adrian Jankowski on a 39 yard bomb with 50 seconds to go to give the Aggies a 14-7 lead and ultimately the victory. UCF was able to slow the game down, keeping the Aggie offense off of the field for a majority of the game, Swift connected on 19/27 passes for 311 yards and 2 TDs. Jankowski hauled in 6 receptions for 93 yards and a TD to go with Elias Butler's 77 yards on the ground.

Week 4 - Mississippi State @ (14)Texas A&M - The Aggies used another dominating defensive performance to stifle the Mississippi State offense holding to them to 7 points in the 13-7 Aggie victory. Matty Swift connected with Jr RB Elias Butler on a 20 yard swing pass and Butler rumbled into the end-zone to give the Aggies a 7-0 lead in the 2nd quarter. Brandon Guillory promptly intercepted a Ryder Shipman pass was 1:32 left in the half to give the Aggies a chance at adding to their slim lead. Matty Swift lead the Aggies down the field and gave (Sr) Justin Nielsen the chance to come out and boot a 48 yard FG to give the Aggies a 10-0 lead heading into the half. The Aggies continued to play stifling defense, but finally were able to get a drive together when they drove down the field and gave Nielsen the chance to connect on a 26 yarder to extend their lead to 13-0. Finally in the 4th the Bulldogs were able to put a drive together that ended up with a 5 yard Will Fuller TD to cut the lead to 13-7. Julian Woods would seal the game, however; with an interception with 2:50 left in the game that allowed the Aggies to run out the clock and escape with a 13-7 victory. Matty Swift finished 23/34 for 300 yards and a TD. Adrian Jankowski had 9 catches for 85 yards and Elias Butler rumbled for 56 yards on the ground and caught 2 passes for 44 yards and a TD.

2017 Schedule

The Aggies entered the 2017 season without a coach and lost their first 8 games as the team played without a strategy. However by the 9th game the Aggies brought smckenz3 on as head coach to lead the team in the final 4 games of the year. In his coaching debut smckenz3 instituted a new offensive and defensive game-plan, which took the team a week to learn, and the Aggies lost a heartbreaker to Fresno State. The Aggies would not lose again, however; as they finished the season on a 3 game win streak, lead by Junior quarterback Matty Swift. Junior WR Adrian Jankowski was voted an an All-American for the 2017 season, and was also voted as a Heisman finalist. Alex Gash finished his consistent Texas A&M career in the top 5 in CFBHC history in receptions, yards, and TDs by a WR.

Week 11 - Texas A&M @ Fresno State - In Smackems coaching debut the Aggies went on the road to Fresno State to play the high-flying Bulldogs. Implementing wholesale offensive and defensive scheme changes the Aggies were able to score a lot of points, but defensively weren't able to stop the Jenkins to Hiller-Weeden connection. (Jr) Matty Swift connected of 38/53 passes for 489 yards 4 TDs and 1 Int. Swift quickly made it known that (Jr) Adrian Jankowski would be his target of the day, Jankowski pulled in 15 receptions for 277 yards and 2 TDs. The Aggies started off hot with Swift connecting with Jankowski on a 70 yard TD and with (Sr) Alex Gash for a 33 yard TD to quickly take a 14-0 lead. Fresno was able to get on the board before the end of the 1st with a 9 yard Jenkins to Jordan TD to give A&M a 14-7 lead at the end of the 1st. The 2nd quarter saw a lack of scoring until (Jr) Adam Goss was able to pick off a Jenkins pass and return it for a TD to give the Aggies a 21-7 lead. The Bulldogs were able to drive down the field and hit a 40 yard FG as time expired cutting the Bulldog deficit to 21-10 going into the half. The Bulldogs came out firing in the 3rd quarter, quickly driving down the field, culminating with a 18 yard strike over the middle to Hiller-Weeden from Adrian Jenkins to cut the deficit to 21-17. The Aggies quickly respond as Swift throws a 65 yard bomb to Jankowski to give them a 28-17 lead. The Bulldogs respond with a methodical drive and a 3 yard James Bailey TD to bring them within 4 at 28-24. Swift would not be denied as he connected with (Sr) Jason McClairen for a 14 yard back-shoulder grab to give the Aggies a 35-24 lead going into the final quarter. The Bulldogs would make a charge first with a 19 yard strike from Jenkins to Hiller-Weeden to cut the deficit to 35-31. Swift made his only mistake of the day as he threw a interception to Raul Busy to set up a 6 yard Bailey TD giving the Bulldogs their first lead of the day 38-35. Swift lead the Aggies down the field setting up Justin Nielsen for a game-tying 44 yard FG as time expired, but the Bulldogs were able to get a hand on it and preserve a victory.

Week 12 - UCF @ Texas A&M - Coach Smackems treated the Aggie faithful to a blowout victory in his home coaching debut. Led by a 6 TD performance by (Jr) Matty Swift The Aggie offense was able to get on the board early and often. The 1st quarter saw a 22 yard strike from Swift to Jankowski for a TD and a 17 yard fade to Alex Gash for another TD to take a 14-0 lead before UCF's RB rumbled into the endzone to end the quarter at 14-7 Aggies. Swift started the 2nd quarter with a 6 yard swing pass to RB Ethan Blake to give the Aggies a 21-14 lead, but UCF and Jackson lead a methodical drive culminated by a 6 yard TD to bring the Knights within 7. Swift connected with Gash right before the end of the half to give the Aggies a 28-14 lead. The Aggies started the 3rd by forcing a UCF 3 and out which gave John Collins the chance to run the punt back 67 yards for a TD to give the Aggies a 35-14 lead. The Aggie D held again and Swift lead a quick drive down the field culminating with a 7 yard strike to Alex Gash to give him his 3rd TD of the day and a 42-14 Aggie lead. 2015 Schedule

Week 1: at Iowa State University In Head Coach Double's first game, the Texas A&M Aggies came out ready to play against the Cyclones. Midway through the first quarter, QB Horace Johnson srikes first to frosh Adrian Jankowski, and gets Double his first TD in CFBHC NCAA history. (1st quarter, 8:05, 7-0 TAMU) Later in the half, the Cyclones find a chink in the Aggie's defense for a rushing score. (2nd quarter, 4:42, 7-7, ISU) Opening the second half, the Aggie's strike back quickly, with Horace throwing another TD pass to Alex Gash. (3rd quarter, 12:08, 14-7, TAMU) From there, the Aggies didn't look back, and scored a final time near the end of the 3rd quarter. (3rd quarter, 3:58, 21-7, TAMU)

Week 3: at University of California - Los Angeles Going into the second game of both Double's career and the 2 game West Coast vacation, Double had no idea what to expect from the Bruins. Will they stop Horace in his tracks? Will there be innumerable interceptions returned for TDs? Or will UCLA even have a coach? Turns out, yes, no, and no. Early in the 2nd quarter, just after throwing a touchdown pass to frosh Jankowski, Horace went down with what ended up being a season-ending Achilles injury. Fortunately, Double was finally given enough of an argument to play the redshirt freshman Maty Swift, and boy was it glorious. Only a minute-and-a-half after a UCLA field goal, Maty led his team down the field in leader-like fashion, before throwing a 67-yard TD pass to Alex "The" Gash. Maty would connect to Gash once more, after connecting to the frosh Jankowski once more.

Week 4: at Arizona State University The #22 Aggies headed into Glendale with a fierce determination to not let this undefeated season die. Behind the arm of new starting QB Maty Swift, they would pull out the win through 2 passing touchdowns and an ASU pass picked off for a pick-6, while holding the Sun Devils to 2 field goals and a 2nd quarter touchdown.
