Troy Marshall played his college football at Texas. He was the #2 CB on the 2017 CFBHC National Championship Game winning Longhorns, and was the #1 CB in 2018 after Ivory Hull graduated and was selected by the Chicago Bears in the 2018 NFLHC Draft.

Marshall put up the most bench reps of any cornerback at the combine, tied for the 3rd-most among all defensivebacks with Nebraska FS Carlton Sylvester at 18 reps, behind Vanderbilt SS David Pennington at 20 reps and Houston SS Antonio Oliver at 21. Marshall also ran for the second fastest 40-time among all cornerbacks and defensivebacks at 4.30, trailing only Tennessee CB Aaron Stiles who ran a 4.29. Marshall's broad jump was 3rd among cornerbacks and 5th of all defensivebacks. He ran the second-fasted shuttle time among all defensivebacks, again only trailing Stiles (3.99 vs 3.96).
