The Tulane Green Wave, coached by anonemuss, are a collegiate football team playing in the AAC. The Green Wave play in Yulman Stadium in New Orleans, Louisiana, and are a member of the West Division.

History

epicschwinn era (2016)

epicschwinn was hired as the first head coach of the Green Wave as they began their first season in CFBHC. His tenure ultimately was short-lived as Tulane lost their opening three games, seeing the fresh head coach take his leave from the program.

Isaac829 era (2016-2017)

The 2016 season was heading for a lost cause very early on, though the Green Wave wasted no time in hiring Isaac829 to see the program through the rest of the year. Only two wins came from the rest of the season, with only one being in conference play (a wild 63-56 win in Houston over lowly Rice). A 2-10 season was likely the best Tulane could ask for in a conference with heavy hitters SMU and Houston among the teams lining up to pile on the Green Wave's miserable season.

2017 provided a new kind of hope, however. A shock 38-35 win over Oklahoma State in Yulman Stadium opened the season, and though they were no match for 8th-ranked LSU in the Superdome the following week, UCLA was felled in a 21-17 win that saw Tulane match their win total from the previous year in just three games. A three game losing streak to conference foes SMU, Houston, and Tulsa soured the mood after Tulane's bright start, but Isaac wasted no time in getting the Green Wave back into shape. Memphis, Georgia State, Rice, and Cincinnati all fell to the Green Wave in a four-game stretch, giving Tulane their first-ever bowl berth. Utah and Florida handled Tulane to close the season at 6-6, seeing the Green Wave meet in the dreary tundra at Lambeau against LSU once again. The Tigers won the tightly-contested contest 21-17, meaning Tulane finished the year at 6-7. Isaac, however, made a surprising move away from the Green Wave, taking the head position at the newly-minted Charlotte 49ers for 2018, leaving Tulane without their most successful head coach.

bragankelly9 era (2018)

bragankelly9's announcement should have settled Tulane faithful with a new season on the horizon. The following weeks quickly drained any hope regarding the season. Loss after loss piled up for the Green Wave, and by the time bragan was ready to move on, the Green Wave were sitting at 0-5 before conference play. Rumor has it that bragan's disappearance was the result of him being enticed by a new football league, but seeing as no new league has been developed, the mystery behind his abrupt resignation remains unsolved.

GoUW25 era (2018)

Novice coach GoUW25 was hired to see out the conference schedule, but with the hiring of a newer coach comes growing pains, and lots of them. The Green Wave were unable to find any kind of opening to reel off their first victory of the season, falling to 0-11 and 0-6 in the American before GoUW25 was fired from the program.

xkl219 era (2018-2020)

The day before the season closer against Tulsa, xkl219 was hired as Tulane's fifth head coach. Strangely enough, Tulane were able to slip one past their AAC rivals and ended up taking the contest to finish the 2018 season at 1-11 (1-6).

2019 provided few bright spots for xkl's tenure. The man self-dubbed as Tugboat could not tug the Green Wave to a winning record, although the Green Wave were able to capture their first conference win on tradition powerhouse Houston. Tulane fought through a 4-8 season, which statistically has been their second-best season in program history, and a 3-4 mark in conference nearly matched 2017's conference mark. Alas, Tulane was still struggling to keep up with the competition, ending up as the perennial whipping boys for teams like SMU and Navy.

The 2020 season was flat-out forgetful. xkl's reign did not quickly come to an end; instead the Green Wave slogged through a very torrid 1-11 season, once again only capturing a single conference victory, this time against Houston once more. xkl was removed from the program with a career record of 6-19, but the team was trending downwards quickly.

AvocadoSoup era (2021)

Searching for a new coach for the first time in over two seasons, Tulane hired novice coach AvocadoSoup to lead the team heading into 2021. A win against lowly FCS team Eastern Washington was the only upside to this era, with AvocadoSoup falling to 1-5 and a swift 0-3 in conference, falling to Navy, South Florida, and East Carolina. Similar to previous coaches, the poor start was enough to send AvocadoSoup packing, leaving the position vacant once more.

Vacancy (2021)

For the first time in program history, the Green Wave were unmanned for a portion of the season. The conference schedule only toughened, with Tulane unable to stake their claim in the conference. A loss to West Virginia to end the season meant that Tulane finished, once again, at 1-11, only without a conference win to their name this time. The Green Wave were unable to fill the position in this time, though there weren't any wins to be claimed.

ChallahAtYaBoi era (2022)

The hiring of ChallahAtYaBoi rang in the 2022 season, though this was quickly short-lived as Challah oversaw a win over Troy and three consecutive losses to Virginia Tech, Ole Miss, and Houston before taking an unexpected leave from the program at 1-3. The Green Wave would be vacant once again early on in the new season.

Vacancy (2022)

No coach was found in time, or really at all for the rest of the season. The coachless Green Wave were able to triumph over UConn and Louisiana Tech, so the season wasn't a complete waste like last season, but a final record of 3-9 kept a trend of disappointing seasons going, as well as an unfortunate trend of seasons ending without a coach in position.

anonemuss era (2023-present)

Another season started with a new hiring, with anonemuss being brought on as the eighth head coach in program history.
