2013 Season

The 2013 season is the first in which the Washington Huskies played. They finished 8-5 after defeating Syracuse Orange in the Hyundai Sun Bowl and narrowly missed the North Division title with a Week 12 loss against the rival Washington State Cougars.

Bowl History

Washington accepted a bowl invitation to the Hyundai Sun Bowl in 2013, getting the chance to face off against a 6-6 Syracuse team. In a defensive battle, the Huskies prevailed 17-14 to improve to 8 wins.


In 2014, the Huskies earned a spot in an access bowl. They went on to play The Ohio State Buckeyes in the Rose Bowl, but were defeated 52-3


The 2015 Washington team accepted an invitation to play in the Hyundai Sun Bowl for the second time, where they faced the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The Huskies lost 21-31 after an MVP performance by Irish QB Harold Simmons.

The Huskies have compiled a 1-2-0 record in Bowl Games, including a 0-1-0 record in Access Bowls.
