Will Thompson (born September 3, 1991) is an American football Quarterback for the San Diego Chargers. He played college football at USC. The Miami Dolphins selected him with the 71st overall pick in the 2015 NFLHC Draft.

Professional Career

Thompson ran the 40-yard dash in 4.86 seconds at the Scouting Combine. He was considered the sixth best quarterback prospect in the 2014 NFLHC Draft. In the 2014 NFLHC Draft, the Miami Dolphins selected Thompson with the 71st overall pick. He became the 1st ever starting quarterback.

The day after the draft, Brown signed a two-year contract with the Dolphins worth approximately $6 million.

Will Thompson won the starting job in the 2014 NFL preseason. Before the final game of the 2015 preseason, Thompson was benched in favor of the recently drafted Brian Brown. He was traded to the San Diego Chargers on December 22nd, 2014.
