All values from NFL Combine |
Coming into the draft, Goode was a member of what many analysts considered a strong runningback class, alongside Terrence Rodgers, J.B. Blacknall, and more. In the combine, Goode's scores were not top in any category, but were consistently top 3 among all running backs. In his pro day he was given an average score of 6.8, which was lower than many of his contemporaries, but he still was considered a top running back prospect as the draft commenced.
Draft
The Baltimore Ravens selected Goode in the 2nd round with the 44th overall pick. He was drafted to be the centerpiece of a new Ravens offense, replacing Baltimore legend Booker T. Washington. His selection was subject to mixed reactions from analysts.
