The CFBHC Championship is decided by a playoff system. Starting in 2013, the CFBHC Playoffs invited the top 4 teams to fight it out for the Championship Trophy. The format stayed this way for the 2014 season as well. In 2015, the playoff expanded to 9 teams with every conference champion getting an auto bid (provided they met the 9-3 before CCG requirement). In 2017, the playoffs went back to 8 teams, with the top 4 conference champions getting automatic bids and the seeds #5-#8 being supplied by at-large bids.
National Championship (2013–present)
Numbers in parentheses in the table are National Championship appearances, as of the date of that National Championship and are used as follows:
- Winning team and Losing team columns indicate the number of times that team has appeared in a National Championship.
- Venue column indicates number of times that stadium has hosted a Super Bowl.
