Riley West was born in Quincy, FL. He attended Robert F. Munroe Day School for all of his education. He was the 22nd best quarterback prospect in the nation and a four-star potential recruit after winning a state championship at his high school.
Recruiting
West committed to Western Kentucky over Florida. A factor of his recruitment was Kajika Youngblood, who was his teammate at Munroe Day and had committed to Western Kentucky earlier in the recruiting cycle.
