Professional Career
Detroit Lions
Madison was selected in the 10th round of the inaugural NFLHC draft by the Detroit Lions. In the first NFLHC game, played between the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers, Madison became the first player to record an interception in NFLHC. Madison continued his success throughout the season and was named to the NFC Pro Bowl roster.
New York Giants
After one season with the Lions, Madison was selected with the 41st pick in the 2015 NFLHC Expansion Draft. Despite his Pro Bowl season, he was the slot CB behind in New York behind Shawn Tennell and Charles Francis.
Los Angeles Chargers
Once again, Madison moved teams as he was selected with the 24th pick in the 2016 NFLHC Expansion Draft by the San Diego Chargers. He saw more time on the field than with the Giants, being a starter from 2016-2019 but only had 1 interception in his 64 games started. In 2020, the Chargers decided to go with younger CBs and Madison had a reduced role.
Dallas Cowboys
After the 2020 season, Madison hit free agency and signed a 1 year, $0.5 million contract with the Cowboys. Madison played slot CB this season. After week 15, he announced that he plans to retire at the end of the season.
