Pre-draft

Despite a less than stellar college career, Hennigan was still expected to be drafted as one of the better strong safety prospects available.

Draft

Hutchinson was selected with the 161st overall pick of the 2014 NFLHC Draft by the New York Jets.

2014 Season

As there were no other strong safeties on the roster, Hennigan won the starting SS job for the Jets. He did not record any stats.

2015 Season

Hennigan re-signed with the Jets on a 1-year, $0.9 million deal prior to 2015. As there were no other SS on the roster once again, Hennigan won the starting job. He recorded his first career stats in a 4 tackle game.

2016 Season

Hennigan accepted a 1 year $0.9 million contract offer from the Jets before the season began.
