Rankings from Coaches Poll

The 2019 Central Michigan Chippewas represented Central Michigan University in the 2019 CFBHC Season. The team was coached by paperllamasunited and played its home games at Kelly/Shorts Stadium in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. They were a member of the West division of the MAC.

After starting the season with a blowout home loss to Michigan State, the Chippewas faced an uphill battle in the 2019 Season. Despite playing P5 teams Baylor (who would go on to be ranked Top 15 nationally) and Duke close, CMU was 1-3 before opening MAC play. The Chips won 3 of their first 4 MAC games of the year, only losing in a blowout home game to Ohio. After losing again to Northern Illinois on the road, the Chips knocked off rival #20 Toledo and their coach deathcpo, dropping the Rockets out of the Coaches Poll. Central Michigan upset Iowa in the following week's game, clinching their second consecutive bowl eligibility.
