Jared Talbert is a Wide Receiver who played College football at East Carolina. As freshman during the 2021 season, Talbert broke every single school receiving record for a freshman set by Leon Burris. Recruited out of Alabama, Talbert was one of the few recruits for the Pirates in 2020 that did come come out of Florida or North Carolina. His size and skill made him an attractive target for the Pirates who had a huge need.
Early Years
Jared Talbert was born in Northport Alabama. He spent the majority of his younger years playing Basketball. During his sophomore year in high school, a coach approached Talbert wanting him to join the football team. His speed and size made him a dangerous target. During his Senior year, he suffered injuries setting back some recruitment interest. When ECU came calling, Talbert committed eagerly when he learned who would be throwing to him.
