Professional Career
Pre-draft
Cano was not invited to the Combine.
Draft
Cano was selected with the 216th pick of the 2020 NFLHC Draft by the Miami Dolphins.
Miami Dolphins (2020)
Denver Broncos (2020 - 2021)
Cano was traded, along with wide receiver Jamal Brunell, to the Denver Broncos for a 2021 6th round pick, and wide receiver Marion Reeder.
The Broncos later sent Cano to the practice squad, but had to bring him back up to the active roster, as he drew interest from both the New Orleans Saints and Los Angeles Chargers.
During the 2022 offseason, Cano was waived by the Broncos after the draft.
Arizona Cardinals (2022)
2022 Season
Cano was claimed by the Arizona Cardinals. The expectation prior to training camp was that Cano would be a camp body, competing with Cardinals' backups C.J. Sheffield, Fred Tindale, and ex-Dolphins teammate Will Fuller for one of two reserve spots behind Cardinals early rookie draft picks Trevon Yeldon and Ricky Vega. Chester Dorenbos was released to make room for Cano on the 90-man roster.
Cano was waived from the roster during final preseason cutdowns.
