Professional career

Pre-draft

Jones was one of the highest rated players entering the draft. There was a general consensus that Jones and Raheem Robinson were the two best players in the draft class.

Draft

Leading up to the draft it became apparent that Jones would be the first overall selection over Raheem Robinson. Jones was selected with the first overall pick in the 2020 NFLHC draft by the Titans.

Tennessee Titans

Jones did not disappoint in his rookie season, becoming the Defensive Rookie of the Year and making his first Pro Bowl appearance. Jones had a productive second season but missed some games due to injury and played second fiddle to the defensive end on the other side Charles Woods. Woods was then traded in the offseason to the New Orleans Saints, putting more pressure on Jones be a dominant force on the line. Jones was just that in 2022, having 12.0 sacks and adding 13 tackles for loss.
