LaMarcus Smith is an American football Center for the St. Louis Rams. He played college football at Ole Miss. The St. Louis Rams selected him with the 77th overall pick in the 2015 NFLHC Draft.

Professional Career

Pre-draft

During the 2015 NFLHC Combine, Smith was one of two centers invited. He earned a private work out with the St. Louis Rams, who were pleased enough to draft him later.

Draft

Smith was selected in the 4th round of the 2015 NFLHC draft. He was the 2nd center selected, and 77th player overall. He signed a 3 year, $9 million contract with St. Louis.

St. Louis Rams

2015 Season

Smith started every game in the 2015. Smith anchored the line for a very good St. Louis Rams unit.

2016 Season

In week 8, Smith fractured his thumb. The injury led to him being out for 2 weeks. Nevertheless, Smith's play was good enough to earn him a spot in the Pro Bowl, earning his spot along side Art Haley

2017 Season

Smith stayed healthy in his third year in the league, and was a phenomenal piece for the third best offensive line in the nation. Once again beside Art Haley and Calvin Milloy, Smith had an outstanding year for the Rams.

2018 Season

Smith's contract expired at the end of 2017, and he entered negotiations with the St. Louis Rams for his next contract. Negotiations were reportedly very swift, and Smith quickly signed a deal of 3 years, $22.5 million.
