All values from NFL Combine |
Heading into the draft, Fulton was considered the 3rd best defensive end in the draft, behind first overall pick Early Davis and Jeffrey Chung . Fulton had what many considered a dissapointing showing during the combine but still recieved invites to provate workouts from the Houston Texans, Tennessee Titans, and Dallas Cowboys.
Draft
Fulton's private workout and performance in college impressed the Houston Texans organization enough to become their second selection of the 2019 NFLHC Draft after Alex Leshoure was taken with the 7th overall pick. Fulton was selected in the round 1 of the 2019 draft with the 14th overall pick. Before the Texans' 2019 training camp began, Fulton and the Texans had agreed to a 4 year, $16 million dollar deal.
