The Big 12 Championship Game is the matchup between the winners of the Big 12 North Division and the Big 12 South Davision to determine the Big 12 champion, as well as the league's automatic bid to the Sugar Bowl against the SEC champion. In 2013, Texas defeated UCF by a margin of 42-10. In 2014, Kansas defeated Baylor by a score of 35-6. In 2015, Oklahoma defeated Texas Tech by a score of 14-10. Oklahoma ran the table in the Big 12 North to clinch a repeat appearance in the 2016 Big 12 Championship Game but fell 20-17 to Texas, who clinched the South after Oklahoma State lost to Oklahoma in the final week of the season. Texas would repeat as champions with a revenge win over West Virginia in the 2017 Big 12 Championship Game. The 2018 Big 12 Championship Game will pit Kansas against TCU.
