John Collins is an American professional football punter for the Washington Redskins. He attended college at North Carolina, and was drafted in the 16th round of the 2014 NFLHC Draft.

College Career

Collins was the starting punter for the North Carolina Tar Heels in the 2013 season, and entered the draft the following offseason.

Professional Career

Oakland Raiders

After being drafted by the Raiders in the inaugural NFLHC draft, Collins served as the starting punter for the Raiders in both 2014 and 2015.

San Diego Chargers

Collins was the starting punter for the Chargers after being signed in the offseason prior to the 2016 season.

Washington Redskins

The Redskins selected Collins in the 7th round of the 2017 NFLHC expansion draft and he subsequently became the starting punter. He signed a 3 year extension in 2017 to remain with the Redskins through 2020.
