Dennis Niland (born August 1st, 1993) is an American football defensive end for the Minnesota Vikings. He played college football at USC. The Vikings selected him fourth overall in the first round of the 2016 NFLHC Draft.

Niland was considered one of the top players 2016 NFLHC Draft. He was projected as a potential top five pick.

Draft

Niland was selected with the 4th pick of the 2016 NFLHC Draft by the Minnesota Vikings. The day after the draft, Niland signed a five-year contract with the Vikings worth approximately $40 million.

Arizona Cardinals

Following week 8 of the 2023 NFLHC Season, the Jets cut Niland. The Arizona Cardinals, spurred by a small bidding war with the New York Giants, signed Niland to a $1.1 million contract to play out the remainder of the season as a backup in Arizona.

During 2023 mid-season re-signings, Niland agreed to a 1 year, minimum contract to remain in Arizona.

Following the 2023 season, Niland decided to retire.
