History
jmjacobs era (2013-2018)
The Iowa Hawkeyes started in the 2013 CFBHC season with jmjacobs as their head coach. jmjacobs led the Hawkeyes to a 52-27 record over six seasons, including 1 playoff appearance (2016), 1 B1G championship (2016), and 4 bowl appearances (4-0 record). jmjacobs was awarded the Coach of the Year award in 2016. jmjacobs left the Hawkeyes after the 2018 season to take over as the head coach of the Michigan Wolverines.
CardiacPack13 era (2019)
In 2019 CardiacPack13 lead the Hawkeyes to a 4-8 record and missed out on a bowl game for the first time since the 2013 season. CardiacPack13 and the Hawkeyes parted ways after the 2019 season.
paperllamasunited era (2020-2021)
After coaching the Central Michigan Chippewas in 2019 paperllamasunited took over as the head coach of the Hawkeyes in 2020. paperllamasunited was able to complete a successful turn around in his first season with a record of 9-4 and a win in the Gator Bowl. paperllamasunited lead the Hawkeyes to a 2-3 start in the 2020 season but had to take a leave of absence during the season. With his return uncertain the Hawkeyes decided to hire wrigleyfan as their new head coach to finish the 2020 season. Fortunately paperllamasunited was able to return to coaching and is now the head coach at Colorado.
wrigleyfan (2021-current)
After the departure of paperllamasunited the Hawkeyes hired wrigleyfan away from the Arizona Wildcats. This was a bit of a mid-season surprise as the Wildcats were in the mix for the PAC-12 championship and a trip to the playoffs. But wrigleyfan has ties to Iowa and has always shown interest in being the head coach at Iowa. The Hawkeyes finished at 3-9 and missed out on a bowl game but wrigleyfan is looking forward to the challenge of building Iowa back to national prominence.
