The 2022 Maryland Terrapins football team represented the University of Maryland in the 2022 CFBHC Season.

The 2016 season was the second season for head coach grv413. After a solid 2015 season, the Terps floundered a little bit in 2016, going 5-7 with 6 of the 7 losses by one possession or less. While they were not ranked at any point, they were able to defeat Ohio State for the first time, as well as maintaining a perfect 3-0 record against in-state rival Navy Midshipmen.

Along with Navy, the rest of the Maryland OOC schedule was made up of Army, UCF and Mississippi State Bulldogs. Alabama Crimson Tide was played as a one-off game home game, while the other three were the first leg of home-and-homes.

This season was a bit of a letdown coming on the heels of giving grv413 a big extension. Luckily he recruited fairly well and was working to build a solid base for the future.
