Rankings from Coaches Poll

The UCLA Bruins 2014 Season represented the UCLA Bruins in the 2014 Season. This was the second year of play for the Bruins. The team was coached by second year head coach evanisonCFBHC and played their home games at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California.

UCLA entered the 2014 Season with a pre-season ranking of #16 and faced the #4 Oklahoma Sooners in a rematch of the 2013 season opener. Once again the Sooners were victorious, Oklahoma won 38-14.

The Bruins then started to turn their season around under second year head coach evanisonCFBHC by getting to 5-3 and winning a road game over #22 Arizona State in Tempe, AZ. With a 4-0 conference record, UCLA looked primed to repeat as Pac-12 Champions, but unfortunately they ended the season going a disappointing 1-4 and 0-3 in conference play.

For the post-season, UCLA was invited to their second straight bowl game. They traveled to El Paso, TX to play in the Sun Bowl against the Miami Hurricanes. The Bruins were hoping for a victory to finish the season on a high note heading into the 2015 season. UCLA gave their all, but were unable to stop the mighty Miami offense and lost 30-7 and finish their season 6-7.

Following the Sun Bowl loss, UCLA fired their head coach evanisonCFBHC and looked to new hire cuhcs13 to bring the magic back to Westwood that the Bruins had found the previous season. evanisonCFBHC left UCLA with a 17-10 overall record and a Pac-12 Conference Championship.
