The Central Michigan Chippewas, coached by robcarlson77, are a collegiate football team playing in the Mid American Conference. The Chippewas play in Kelly/Shorts Stadium in Mount Pleasant, MI and are a member of the West Division of the Mid American Conference.

History
2016 Season
The 2016 season was the first season for the Central Michigan Chippewas. Under two different coaches, the Chippewas went 4-6, failing to make the postseason.
2017 Season
The 2017 season went poorly for the Central Michigan Chippewas, as the team endured a 1-11 coachless season. Nechrochaos vowed to turn the program around after being hired as the coach in the offseason.
2018 Season
The 2018 season was a huge turnaround for the Central Michigan Chippewas. After losing the opening game, ImposterCauster was hired as head coach. The Chips went 6-5 from there on out to finish with a 6-6 record, making their first appearance in a bowl game. The team lost to the Arizona State Sun Devils by a score of 35-10, allowing the Chips to finish the year at 6-7 and 4-3 in the conference.
2019 Season
paperllamasunited, former head coach at Kent State, assumed the new lead of the program as heralded 2018 coach ImposterCauster departed for North Carolina State prior to the season. Following a 6-7 season, Paperllamasunited took over the head coach position of the Iowa Hawkeyes
2020 Season
johnkirk assumed the role for his first head coaching job. Central Michigan lost their 2020 home opener to Oregon State, which ended a multi-season losing streak for the Beavers.
2021 Season
With exciting QB Byron Suggs taking the reins, Central Michigan not only rebounded from their 2-win season but also won their first bowl defeating the FIU Panthers 31-27 in the Boca Raton Bowl.

2023 Season
Head Coach robcarlson77 would enter his first season at his Alma Mater with a talented Chippewa team, led by QB Byron Suggs. The Chippewas entered the 2023 season with high expectations and were considered by many to be one of the top teams in the conference. The Chippewas would exceed expectations as they knocked off arch rival Western Michigan in Week 16 to clinch the West Division before beating Ohio 31-14 in the MAC Championship. The victory provided CMU with their first conference championship in school history. The Chippewas would finish the season with a bowl loss, losing to San Diego State 35-28 in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.

Central Michigan made their first appearance in the Mid-American Conference Championship game during the 2023 season. In a rematch of a regular season meeting, the Chippewas defeated the Ohio Bobcats by a score of 31-14.
