Early Years

Coming from tiny Barrington, Sagatomo was not offered a scholarship by a Division I school and committed to play for the local Wildcats of New Hampshire. While in college his standout skills on the field and a growth spurt drew the attention of professional scouts.

Draft

Sagatomo was selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the fifth round of the 2020 NFLHC Draft with the 142nd overall pick. He was the sixth outside linebacker taken in that year's draft.

2020 Season

Sagatomo earned a starting position in preseason and promptly justified the coaching staff's faith in him. He recorded 45 tackles, 2 interceptions, 6 sacks, 1 forced and recovered fumble, and a defensive touchdown. However, he lost the defensive rookie of the year voting to [[Tennessee Titans|Tennessee] defensive end Tyler Jones.

2021 Season

Despite the tumult in the Seahawks' front office, Sagatomo was one of the team's most consistent performers, even if his numbers weren't as impressive as his rookie season's.
